Your videos stay under your control
The app accesses videos you choose through Photos or Files. It creates a local working copy and processes the video, audio, waveforms, thumbnails, and pause-detection results on your device. Speech detection uses Apple’s on-device SoundAnalysis framework; the app does not transcribe speech or upload your media to us or an AI service. We do not use your media to train AI models.
When you export or share a video, you choose where it goes. Photos, iCloud, file providers, and other apps may process or synchronize files according to their own settings and policies. The app does not require an account or access your microphone or camera.
Local storage and deletion
Imported working copies and exports are stored in the app’s temporary storage. The app attempts to remove them when you discard or reset the current editing session. Interrupted sessions may leave temporary files until iOS cleans them up or you delete the app. Originals and copies you save or share outside the app remain in their chosen locations; delete those separately if desired.
A count of successful free imports is stored in your device’s Keychain to enforce the free-import allowance. It contains a number, not your videos or an import history. The app does not synchronize this record through iCloud Keychain or send it to us. The count may survive deleting and reinstalling the app on the same device. The app has no control to reset it, and we cannot remotely access or erase it.
Purchases and Apple services
Apple processes subscription payments. Through StoreKit, the app reads purchase and entitlement information to unlock imports and restore access. We do not receive your card details, and the app does not send transaction records to a developer-operated server. Apple may make sales reports and diagnostics available to developers under its services and your device settings. Apple handles information under its Privacy Policy.
Analytics, advertising, and sharing
The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not receive your videos merely because you use the app.
Support messages
If you contact us, we receive the contact details, message, and any attachments you send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot, and handle legal requests. Please send only information needed for your request. We may disclose relevant correspondence when legally required.
Website visitors
These legal pages do not include analytics scripts, advertising, embedded third-party content, or cookies. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request information, including IP addresses, requested pages, and browser details. External links take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Your choices and rights
You control which media to import and share, and can manage relevant permissions in iOS Settings. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or receive a copy of personal information we hold, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact contact@cvbuilderkit.app to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. We cannot retrieve media or local records that have never been sent to us.
Where applicable, we process support correspondence to respond to your requested service, for our legitimate interests in troubleshooting and securing our services, or to comply with legal obligations. Any international transfers of information we receive must use safeguards required by applicable law.
Children and policy updates
PauseSnip is a general-purpose editing tool and is not directed specifically to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it. We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change, and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
